Home Swap Nashville: Our beautiful single-story 1959 home has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. It’s 2400 square feet, with dark restored hardwood floors and lots of natural light. Our 400 square foot deck gives you lots of outdoor living space, with a canopy, grill, cornhole and ladder ball, and a 14′ swim spa! Enjoy the water year-round — heated to 85+ F in the warmer months, and 100+ F as needed during the cooler month.

PLEASE NOTE:

We have 3 cats who will need to be cared for during any exchange. They are very friendly and dog-like, very used to having people around and love attention. One of them is scared of the world though and mostly lives under our bed so you may never meet him lol.

King-size Casper in the master bedroom – Queen-size Casper in Justin’s office – Full-size pull-out couch in the library – Twin-size mattress in the kid’s room – Full-size air mattress stored in the master bedroom if needed. In our living room we have a 65″ flat screen, a Roku, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, an XBox1x and SNES, and surround sound. We have super comfy recliner couches. Crazy high-speed internet and two offices with desks so you can work or attend class remotely! We have a closet full of games, and plenty of kids/baby toys. We also have beach chairs, pool noodles, ladder ball, cornhole, and a beer pong table if that’s your style. During your stay, you can choose from hundreds of books in our library. There are over 100 children’s books in English, Spanish, and French in our son’s room. Feel free to use any of our kitchen appliances and bar accoutrements to make yourself something delicious. (The sous vide is life-changing!)

Home Swap Nashville: Nashville is an amazing city that has grown a lot in recent years and has so much character. Like live music? Like craft cocktails and locally-brewed beer? Like festivals and half-marathons? Like a big city experience without the big city hassle? Nashville offers something for EVERYONE. There’s tons of nature, tons of music, tons of history, tons of food, tons to do for all ages. We’ve lived here over 8 years and still haven’t seen or done it all! We live in Donelson (or Hip Donelson, as the community refers to itself), an older, quieter part of Nashville that is very centrally located — everything is within a 20 minute drive.

Donelson hosts the 2nd biggest farmer’s market in Nashville every Friday from 4-7 pm May-October, and the neighborhood is growing every day. (We will provide a handy guide to all of our favorite places both in Donelson and around the city.) Nashville is a great home-base for day/weekend trips: –

Chattanooga (2 hours) has an *awesome* aquarium and cute downtown area with nice bars and restaurants. You can also visit Look Out Mountain which is cheesy but the kids will love it. – Burgess Falls (1h20) is a gorgeous spot for an afternoon hike, picnic and dip in the water. Romantic nature lovers, dogs and kids will all love it! – Holiday World (2h30) is also a fun theme park with some of the best water slides in the country. Very inexpensive for a theme park, this makes a great overnight trip. – Dollywood & Pigeonforge (3h30) make for a perfect weekend getaway. Mountains, cabins, lots of shopping and places to eat. Plus a fantastic theme park with some kick-ass roller coasters and tons of kids rides. The drive out there is beautiful. –

Memphis (3 hours) is an overnight trip away and perfect for music & BBQ lovers. Easy drive. – U.S. Space & Rocket Center (2 hours) in Huntsville is also perfect for science nerds and beer lovers alike. Additional information:

Big open rooms but cozy environment. 15 minutes from downtown or from lake, & centrally located to everything! 1950s charm with tons of modern conveniences and open floorplan. A car exchange is also negotiable; if we are using the car while traveling, obviously it won’t be available but if we are flying somewhere, then we can talk about the car being available!
