At the foot of the majestic Arenal volcano, I offer you my charming wooden house in Costa Rica, spacious, quiet, with a large garden and a beautiful view of the green plains of the country. The terrace with hammock is peaceful and allows you to have nice little barbecues with family or friends. No neighbors too close to feel overwhelmed, but enough to lend a hand if needed. Large main room with sitting area, office area, and American kitchen with a small bar, separate bedroom. The kitchen is furnished and equipped for basic cooking: hot plates, small oven, blender, rice cooker, juice extractor… The bathroom gives a lot of charm to the place, you can shower while looking at the sky, and you reconnect with nature. The wifi signal is good and it’s really the ideal place to recharge your batteries and to work from a distance in a quiet place if you wish, ideal to finish a project in a quiet place and find inspiration (book, thesis, writing…) or to visit Costa Rica alone or with your family.

: Home Swap Costa RicaIt is really a beautiful area, in the middle of nature with many national parks and volcanoes nearby. The house is located at the foot of the Arenal volcano and 2 minutes away from a small typical village with all amenities (supermarket, bank,…) in the heart of a very welcoming rural community. 20-30 minutes drive to get to La Fortuna where there are many tourist activities, rafting, hiking, horse riding, quad biking, zip line, hot springs…. A friend of mine is a naturalist guide and offers amazing horseriding tours 5 minutes away from the house! A 45 minutes drive will lead you to the beautiful Lake Arenal where you can also go kayaking or paddleboarding, or hiking.

There is hot water in the shower if you want it, but in Costa Rica, it is rarely used!

There is not a glass on every window, which is quite nice as it feels like living outside, but there are wooden shutters of course for the night. The house is very secure.

There is a sofa bed if you want to have an extra guest.

The many windows make the house bright, and always a light breeze that makes the temperature in the house very pleasant all year round.
