Nous aimerions faire découvrir le monde à nos enfants, et pensons que l’échange de maison est un excellent moyen de leur offrir ces possibilités de voyage.

Notre maison est en centre ville de Castelnaudary, à quelques minutes à pied du Canal du Midi et des commerces. Toulouse et Carcassonne sont à 20 minutes en voiture, par l’autoroute. La plage est à seulement 1h… Nombreux lacs avec possibilité de baignades et activités nautiques toutes proches de la maison, beaucoup de belles balades et proximité des Pyrénées.

About the location

Home Swap Castelnaudary: Castelnaudary is a town in the Aude department of Languedoc-Roussillon. It lies halfway between Toulouse and Carcassonne. Castelnaudary is also an important port on the Canal du Midi. You will see lots of pleasure boats tied up here in the port. The canal is also very popular with visitors taking a barge holiday in France.

The section of the town around the Grand Bassin – the old ‘canal port’ – is also scenically the most impressive part of Castelnaudary. Although the rest of this pleasant yet untouristy town is also worth exploring. The port has also been awarded the ‘blue flag’ award. (also called the ‘blue flag’ award, this is more commonly associated with beaches than inland harbours).
