The area is very safe, frequented by horse riders, runners, and walkers. Apart from the charm of Cambridge with its stunning colleges, excellent museums, punting on the River Cam, there are a number of National Trust and English Heritage properties accessible by car or train (Anglesey Abbey, Wimpole Hall, and Farm, Wicken Fen, Audley End). You can cycle to hidden treasures such as The Orchard, the River Cam, or to St Yves along the guided busway (another one of Cambridge curiosities). London King`s Cross is 50 minutes away from the train station.
